BEAL D4

A Beal brand steel automatically locking descender with an anti-panic function designed for greater durability in a work at height or rescue environment. 2 safety features: the anti-panic function is triggered and stops the descent immediately when the user pulls the handle very abruptly; when the user releases the handle the descent is stopped automatically. Its weight is 655 grams.
 
The thick metal in the high friction areas helps to increase the service life of the equipment in a high use environment It allows the descent speed to be controlled precisely and makes your 360 degree rotation easier. Its aluminium body is coated with a grip-enhancing material. In addition, the rotation of the handle is accompanied by an audible click to help determine the correct position of the handle.
 
The device is locked using a metal button that prevents it opening accidentally while climbing a rope. Movement on horizontal or low-angle surfaces is made easier by simply controlling the cam with your thumb. The maximum working load of the D4 is 240 kg. For this reason it is suitable for rescue operations with a two-person load without the need for additional friction.
 
The D4 can be used with ropes of 10.5 to 11.5 mm diameter. It is CE certified. It is manufactured in accordance with the EN 12841C | ANSI Z359 | NFPA 1983 standards.
