ROLP-100 Roof Skylight Protection

In order to make use of daylight for indoor factory lighting, roof covering materials such as transparent polycarbonate and plexiglass are also used between sheet metal or sandwich panels. Although the difference from the adjacent panel is clearly visible on the roof initially because it is transparent, over time it takes on the same colour as the whole roof. Because this type of material loses its strength characteristics over time and turns into a brittle structure, it creates a very high risk of falling for personnel walking on the roof.
 
On roofs where such roof skylight panels are used, a need arose to develop protective systems that prevent personnel from falling while not preventing the use of daylight.
