A single-direction, swivelling and very high efficiency single pulley The SPIN L1D pulley, which can be opened even while attached to the station, is designed so that heavy load deviation systems can be set up with maximum ease when used together with a descender. The grooved sheave turns in one direction only, thereby providing excellent efficiency when hauling a load, and provides additional braking by creating extra friction zones on the rope when lowering heavy loads.
 
The swivel makes use easier by allowing the pulley to be oriented under load and carabiners, ropes or slings to be attached directly. It is designed so that heavy load deviation and hauling systems can be set up with maximum ease when used together with a descender during work at height or rescue: - The moving side plate, which opens with three actions, can be opened and closed quickly and easily even with gloves - The rope can be installed on the pulley attached to the station - The red mark visible when the moving side plate is unlocked provides a visual warning - The special side plate design protects the sections through which the rope passes and allows a Prusik knot to be used to set up a locking system Optimum hauling efficiency and ease of lowering loads: the grooved sheave turns in one direction only, thereby providing excellent efficiency when hauling a load, and provides additional braking by creating extra friction zones on the rope when lowering heavy loads (you can find more information in the Instructions for Use and in the technical tips below).
