D-5 Descender (with Anti-Panic Locking System)

• The D5 controlled descent device is designed to work with 12.7 mm rope. • The D5 offers unrivalled freedom of movement in vertical, horizontal and angled work on the rope. • It can be attached to or removed from the system at any point on the rope. • The D5 descender has a unique and innovative cam action that offers precise control at fast or slow speed. The forward cam works via a cam track that acts on the other cam. • In rope work, slack on the rope is easily taken up. • It is possible to work hands-free in the locked position and to take up a work position. • The D5 has a working load of 240 kg.
 
This means it is suitable for rescue operations without the need for extra friction. • The multi-function handle is designed to rotate 360° for easier and simpler use. The handle itself is aluminium and is covered with a plastic coating. It provides extra grip. • The intelligent rotation system helps the user determine the correct position of the handle, accompanied by an audible click. • Thanks to the anti-panic system, when the user moves the handle strongly the system locks automatically. • The outer body is manufactured from high-strength aluminium material. • The inner cams are manufactured from stainless steel material. • The minimum breaking strength is 16 kN.
