CT BELAY DEVICE ATC BE-UP SKY

A versatile belay/descender with an innovative and compact design (registered design), suitable for use with half ropes, twin ropes and single ropes, in mountaineering and in climbing on multi-pitch sport and traditional routes. Intuitive and easy to use, it is equipped with a modular braking system to optimise braking with all types of rope and allows independent and self-locking recovery of seconds within seconds Features: Belaying the lead climber effectively.
 
The special design of the body allows you to pay out rope smoothly, quickly and without hitches; While belaying the lead climber with two ropes on multi-pitch routes, this manoeuvre of blocking one rope while paying out the other makes the BE UP unique of its kind; Effective and modular braking of the ropes via "V" grooves specially designed for better braking control during the arrest of a fall, with double ropes and recovering seconds; Independent and self-locking recovery of one or two seconds (guide mode).
 
The special geometry of the device and the attachment loop integrated into the body allow you to recover one or two seconds effectively with half ropes and twin ropes of Ø ≥ 7.3 mm. It also allows you to recover one second while the other is attached to the device; With half ropes and twin ropes of Ø ≥ 7.3 mm, release and progressive lowering of a second under tension effortlessly, even in free space.
 
This manoeuvre makes the BE UP unique and is carried out by inserting a simple HMS carabiner into the release hole; Fast transition from rescue mode (guide mode) to belaying the leader on alternating pitch climbs; Descending the rope while keeping the ropes separate. The "V" grooves allow you to control the descent speed effectively without twisting the ropes.
