The SPEED is a mobile fall arrest device for vertical rail systems and has been developed for safe climbing on masts, towers and similar structures. It is designed for use on SÖLL GlideLoc rails as well as on the C-profile rails of the SKYLOTEC SKYTAC rail system, which allows versatile use on existing fall protection systems. In use, the SPEED facilitates controlled and comfortable climbing. The double guide rollers reduce resistance during ascent and descent and contribute to smooth guidance along the rail. At the same time, the trolley remains close to the rail, which keeps the arrest distance short. To guarantee a high level of safety, the SPEED has two redundant arrest systems. In addition to the standard arrest function, a speed-dependent safety mechanism is integrated: when a predefined maximum speed is exceeded, a centrifugal braking system engages the arrest pawl and the trolley locks in place. The pawl is located inside a protective housing, which reduces the risk of accidental interference. The sturdy aluminium body, stainless steel pins and metal guide rollers provide a durable design with minimal wear. The SPEED is certified in accordance with EN 353-1:2014+A1:2017 and is designed for one person with a maximum load of 150 kg.
