After a fall, the injured person often hangs in a place that is difficult to reach, for example below the fall edge. The SKA ROPE CLAMP rope clamp is used as a rescue rope clamp in order to create an anchor point on the injured person's lanyard. In this case the rope clamp is placed on the casualty's lanyard or fall arrest rope. This allows the casualty to be lifted until the load on the lanyard is relieved. Provided it is used regularly and stored in a standard bag, the maximum service life of the rope clamp is 10 years. The device must be inspected once a year. If the rope clamp is stored unused in a Seal Pac, the service life extends to 15 years, and this period can be increased to up to 30 years when the Seal Pac is resealed.
