The head is made of hardened steel material. The shaft is made of anodised, light alloy material. The grip section is plastic coated. Thanks to the improved new shaft design it is more ergonomic. It is easy to grip and use. It has holes so that a carabiner can be attached. It is sold together with an ice axe leash (DRAG-TOUR).
