CT CRIC PULLEY /ROPE CLAMP
A multifunctional rope clamp with an integrated pulley for rescue and rope access work. It is solid, practical and intuitive and has four different working modes: Ascender, pulley, rope clamp/pulley or progress capture hauling pulley. Its versatility, compact size and ease of use make it possible to minimise the time, equipment and space needed in rope manoeuvres.
It allows ascending a rope in accordance with the EN 567 / EN 12841-B standards (ascending mode); It can be used as a simple pulley to lift or transfer a load in accordance with the EN 12278 standard (pulley mode); The integrated ball bearing pulley can be used as a simple deviation to make climbing a rope or lifting a person easier without the help of additional connectors (rope clamp/pulley mode); It allows a load to be lifted directly, hauling systems to be created and a person to be rescued or to self-rescue (progress capture hauling pulley mode); When used in pulley mode the rope can move freely in both directions; instead, when the hauling pulley mode is used, the rope can move in one direction only and locks in the opposite direction; When used in progress capture hauling pulley mode, it is possible to lower the lifted load by moving the special cable connected to the cam inside the device; Easy opening via an intuitive release button makes installing the device on the rope – whichever mode it is used in – fast even while wearing gloves or working in difficult conditions; It is equipped with a steel cam with teeth that minimise rope wear but are effective in blocking the rope.
In addition the cam is designed with two slots to reduce dirt build-up, so that it maintains the lock on the rope very efficiently in all conditions (muddy, frozen rope, etc.). EN 12278: Mountaineering equipment - Pulleys - Safety requirements and test methods. It is CE certified. It is of Italian origin.
