BEAL VERDON II 9MM X 60M DYNAMIC ROPE (GOLDEN DRY)
A dynamic rope model from the Beal brand. BEAL dynamic ropes are coated with a special chemical in order to extend the life of the rope by increasing its resistance to abrasion and getting wet. When the rope is new the friction between descent and belay devices and the rope will be reduced. Thermo Fluid: This is an infrared treatment that stabilises the sheath fibres and thereby makes the yarns more homogeneous.
As a result of this treatment it has a more compact construction and better durability. Golden Dry: It is more resistant to freezing and water. It gains very little weight in damp conditions. It increases the flexibility of the rope with carabiners and belay devices. It is more resistant to abrasion during normal use. It is a process in which each core and sheath strand is treated with a hydrophobic chemical formula before the rope is made.
This treatment is polymerised at high temperatures. This polymerisation process, together with each coated strand, extends the life of the treatment. The GOLDEN DRY rope combines 2 treatments: treatment of the core is added to the DRY COVER sheath treatment. As a result it helps to obtain a highly durable and waterproof rope. Technical Specifications: Diameter: 9 mm Length: 60 metres Strength: 5.3 kN Number of Falls: 15 Weight / Metre: 49 g.
Sheath Ratio: 42% It complies with the UIAA standards. It has CE certification. EN 892: Mountaineering equipment - Dynamic mountaineering ropes - Safety requirements and test methods (This standard covers the safety requirements and test methods for kernmantel construction dynamic ropes (single, twin and half ropes) for use in mountaineering including climbing)
