BEAL VERDON II 9MM X 60M DYNAMIC ROPE (DRY COVER)
A Beal brand dynamic rope model. BEAL dynamic ropes are coated with a special chemical in order to extend the life of the rope by increasing its resistance to abrasion and wetting. When the rope is new the friction between descent and belay devices and the rope will be reduced. It is suitable for use where lightness matters and on long routes. It is suitable for use in all climbing activities, particularly mountaineering, traditional climbing and search and rescue operations.
Dry Cover: During manufacture the rope goes through a kind of chemical treatment. This treatment increases the abrasion and water resistance of the rope. It increases its resistance to heat, moisture and dust. Thermo Fluid: An infrared treatment that stabilises the sheath fibres and thereby makes the yarns more homogeneous. As a result of this treatment it is more compact and has better durability.
Technical Specifications: Diameter: 9 mm Length: 60 metres Strength: 5.3 kN Number of Falls: 15 Weight / Metre: 49 g. Sheath Proportion: 42% It complies with the UIAA standards. It has a CE certificate. EN 892: Mountaineering equipment - Dynamic mountaineering ropes - Safety requirements and test methods (This standard covers the safety rules and test methods for kernmantel construction dynamic ropes (single, twin and half ropes) for use in mountaineering including climbing)
