BEAL JAMMY 50CM
A prusik loop model sewn with 5.5 mm cord. It is used to make a prusik knot for additional safety during a rope descent. It works with a prusik or a French prusik. It is suitable for use with ropes from 8.1 mm to 10 mm. Thanks to its knotless construction it takes up little space and is easy to work with. An aramid core: similar to Kevlar, unlike Dyneema which is very easy but also melts easily, it is very strong and also resistant to high heat.
The Beal Jammy is a prusik loop made of 5.5 mm cord with an aramid core and a polyamide sheath. It can be used with single or half ropes, with a single half rope or with both. It can be used to make a prusik knot for increased safety during a rope descent and to create a rope clamp for hauling / crevasse rescue. The knots used can be either the standard Prusik, in which the cord is wound around several times before passing one end of the cord through the other and clipping into a carabiner, or the French Prusik, in which both ends are attached to the carabiner.
