BEAL APOLLO II 11MM X 100M DYNAMIC ROPE (ANIS)
A dynamic rope by Beal. It is made by twisting continuous polyamide fibres. It has a core and a sheath made of polyamide fibres to protect the core. It is used as a single rope. It is designed for use on the most demanding sport and indoor climbs. It has a structure that can withstand the damage that rock will cause to the rope on long wall climbs.
It has sharp edge resistance. The sheath layer is thick so that it can resist the demands of big wall climbing. It is manufactured using Dry Cover and Thermo Fluid technology. BEAL dynamic ropes are coated with a special chemical in order to increase resistance to abrasion and moisture and thus extend the life of the rope. When the rope is new, the friction between the descenders and belay devices and the rope will be reduced.
Dry Cover: During manufacture the rope goes through a type of chemical treatment. This treatment increases the abrasion and water resistance of the rope. It increases its resistance to heat, moisture and dust. Thermo Fluid: An infrared treatment that stabilises the sheath fibres and thereby makes the yarns more homogeneous. As a result of this treatment it is more compact and has better durability. It can be produced in lengths of 50, 60, 70, 80, 100 and 200 metres.
Technical Specifications: Diameter: 11 mm Length: 100 metres Weight / Metre: 75 g. Sheath Proportion: 35% Impact Force: 7.7 kN Number of Falls: 16 Complies with UIAA standards. It has CE certification. EN 892: Mountaineering equipment - Dynamic mountaineering ropes - Safety requirements and test methods (This standard covers the safety requirements and test methods for dynamic kernmantel ropes (single, twin and half ropes) for use in mountaineering including climbing)
